Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was one of the greatest nation builders of India and greatest champion of human rights. Dr. Zakir Hussain, former President of India, has commended services of Dr. Ambedkar in the following words :
“At a time when India was passing through epoch making events, Dr. Ambedkar had become one of the potent forces to reckon with whether in office or out of it. Endowed as he was with a towering personality, erudition, deep insight into Constitutional law, with a firm grip on the intricacies of administration, indomitable courage and fearlessness, Dr. Ambedkar commanded the esteem and admiration of his friends and adversaries alike. A giant among intellectuals in legal acumen and parliamentary skill he had few equals among his contemporaries. Dr. Ambedkar will be remembered for ever as one of the chief architects of independent India’s Constitution as one of the ablest administrator of high calibre and integrity and as the founder of Neo Buddhism in modern India.”
Dr. Ambedkar has always been emphasizing that there should be Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity in the Society. He included these dictums in the preamble of India’s Constitution.
What does Fraternity mean ? It means co-ordination and co-operation. Numerious organisations have come up in the name of Dr. Ambedkar and Chairs have been established in many Universities in India. Many Memorials have been dedicated to him in India and abroad.
The need of the time is that there should be active co-ordination among the organizations working for Ambedkar Mission. Keeping this object in mind ‘Ambedkarite International Co-ordination Society’ with headquarters in Canada, has been formed. This Society shall work for spreading Education and providing Medical facilities to the needy. Besides this the society may engage in cultural activities also.
All those who stand for these noble humantarian activities are requested to become part of movement and enrol themselves as members of the Ambedkarite International Co-ordination Society. |
